Right now, the world can be a tough place for children and young people to grow up in – and they are feeling the pressure. We want young people to know that they don’t have to go through this alone. Things can get better.

"We think the Hello Yellow campaign is such a brilliant initiative - it’s simple, bright, and positive, but it also carries a really powerful message about supporting young people’s mental health. It’s amazing to see so many people coming together to show that no one has to struggle alone."

FAQs
What day is Hello Yellow?
Hello Yellow is on World Mental Health Day (10 October) - as this year's date falls on a Saturday, we encourage everyone to take part on 9 October or another date around this time if this is more convenient for you.
Schols are welcome to choose an alternative date in their school calendar that works best for them if 9 October clashes with school closures or half term.
Do I have to wear yellow?
We encourage everyone to wear yellow on Hello Yellow day, however if this isn’t your thing you’re welcome to come up with your own ways to show your support for young people’s mental health and have lots of activities and fundraising ideas in our digital fundraising pack, which you can access once you’ve signed up.
When will 2026 registrations open?
What fundraising resources will I get?
All our fundraising resources will be available on our Resources page when the 2026 event launches.
