I'm wearing yellow this World Mental Health Day and raising vital funds for YoungMinds

This Hello Yellow Heath Hayes Academy will join thousands of individuals, schools and communities across the country to raise money and show young people that they're not alone with their mental health. Right now, more than 1 in 4 young people have a probable mental health condition. Many aren't getting the help they need, when they need it. Some don’t even know where to turn, who to talk to, or if anyone else feels the same. But we can change this. By wearing yellow to school on World Mental Health Day (10 October), and donating what you can, you can show young people that they are not alone and that things can get better. Wear it loud. Wear it proud. Because we stand brighter, together.

Our school will be taking part in Hello Yellow on Friday 10th October (World Mental Health Day) to raise awareness and funds for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity for young people’s mental health. No young person should feel alone with their mental health and that’s why Hello Yellow matters. We’re taking this opportunity as a school community to come together and show our students that we’re with them and they’re never alone with their mental health.
