I'm wearing yellow this World Mental Health Day and raising vital funds for YoungMinds

This Hello Yellow I will join thousands of individuals, schools and communities across the country to raise money and show young people that they're not alone with their mental health.

Right now, more than 1 in 4 young people have a probable mental health condition. Many aren't getting the help they need, when they need it. Some don’t even know where to turn, who to talk to, or if anyone else feels the same. But we can change this.

By wearing yellow on 9th October for World Mental Health Day, and donating what you can, you can show young people that they are not alone and that things can get better.

Wear it loud. Wear it proud. Because we stand brighter, together.

QKA Mental Health Support

Tuesday 6th Oct
On Friday 9th October, Queen Katharine Academy will be taking part in the 'Wear It Yellow' campaign to support YoungMinds, a leading charity that champions the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

We are inviting students and staff to wear a small yellow token of support, such as a yellow ribbon, badge, wristband, hair accessory or socks alongside their usual school uniform.

We kindly suggest a £1 donation to support the valuable work of YoungMinds. Donations can be made via the QR code, the online link or by cash directly to the Safeguarding Team.

To help everyone get involved, during lunch time we will be selling a limited number of yellow wristbands, badges and ribbons in school for a £1 donation each.

The event provides an opportunity for our school community to come together, raise awareness of mental health, and show our support for young people who may be facing emotional or mental health challenges.

We hope that as many students, staff and families as possible will join us in helping to make the school a sea of yellow for this important cause.
